Abstract

This research aims to develop the teacher's ability to apply the constructivism model of learning. The research subjects were teachers who served at SDN 071046 Holi with 7 respondents. The research was conducted in two cycles with observation research instruments and the ability evaluation at the end of the cycle and interviews. The results showed that the constructivism learning model could be understood by teachers and was needed to be used in learning mathematics, where the results showed that the initial ability of teachers in mastering the constructivism learning model is 5.10 with an overall mastery level of 16%. After coaching the Principal through modeling (simulator) in the first cycle of teacher mastery, 57 (29%) participants had changes with their abilities, meaning 2 people are good, 5 people are less good. Then in cycle II there was repetition of coaching from the Principal with the same context in cycle II but corrected errors in cycle I, the value of changes in teacher abilities increased by 74.4 or 72% of participants had achieved success. The remaining 2 participants who are not good will be handled further by the Principal.
