Abstract

Contextual Teaching Learning learning model is a learning model that provides opportunities for students to express their own idea in real situation. This research consists of two cycles which aim to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes and the learning process in social studies subjects through the application of the Contextual Teaching Learning learning model. This research was conducted from August to September 2021 in class VIII/A of SMP Negeri 2 Hiliduho with 15 students, 7 boys and 8 girls. The results of the research were the students’ learning outcomes were increased, where at the end of the cycle the average student learning outcomes were 82 with 80% completeness and the average reflection result at the end of the cycle reaches 82% classified as good category. Thus, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes in social studies and the learning process in social studies were increased through the application of the Contextual Teaching Learning model.
