Abstract

The Curriculum Indonesian subject has purpose to make the students has skill in language (listening, speaking, reading, writing). The research held at SMP Negeri 1 Hiliserangkai of 30 students each class. The kind of the research is Classroom Action Research through AMBT strategy. The result of the research in observation the first cycle in the first meeting were 46,67% active students and 53,3% inactive students with the students’ mean score was 69,5%. While in the second cycle, the result observation of students activities in first meeting were 83,33% the active students and inactive is 16,67%. In second meeting 93,33% the active students 6,67% inactive students with the students’ mean score was 82,03%. Based on the result of the research it can conclude AMBT Strategy can use in learing of reading comprehension to increase the students ability.
